BE PROUD OF YOUR DARK SKIN IT IS MORE SUPERIOR THAN WHITE SKIN EXCEPT FOR VITAMIN D


The epidermis is the outermost of the three layers that make up the skin, the inner layers being the dermis and hypodermis. The epidermis layer provides a barrier to infections from environmental pathogens. Under the microscope skin structure is roughly the same in all races, but differences do exist.


Humans with dark skin pigmentation have skin naturally rich in melanin (especially eumelanin), and have more melanosomes which provide a superior protection. The cultural practices that increase problems among dark-skinned are traditional clothing and vitamin D-poor diet. Believe it or not, for black skin the less clothes the better for the absorption of vitamin D. Do not read dressing skimpy as the solution.


Because dark skin is protected by the melanin, dark pigmented people have a lower chance of developing skin cancer but vitamin D deficiency increases the risk of developing tuberculosis fivefold and also contributes to the development of breast, prostate, and colorectal cancer. Diseases not found in the past among southern dark-skinned Americans of the southern part of the United States who migrated north into low sunlight environments was presented with autoimmune diseases, hypertension, multiple sclerosis, diabetes, and incidence of memory loss. The preference or disfavour for darker skin has varied depending on geographical area and time. Today, darker skin is viewed as fashionable and as a sign of well-being in some societies. This resulted in the development of tanning industry in several countries. However, in some countries i.e., Japan, China. India,...etc where dark skin is not seen as highly desirable or indicative of higher class, especially among women. Because field workers in those cultures usually have dark skin from the sun and are considered of lower class.
