CAN THE CHURCH SURVIVE A CRISIS

As coronavirus panic and precaution sweeps the country, most sports teams in the United States are playing on, trying to balance cleanliness with competition.

In the most drastic move yet to try to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus, Gov. Jay Inslee of Washington is expected to restrict gatherings of more than 250 people in King, Snohomish and Pierce counties, a move aimed at sports, concerts and other cultural events.

Can the church survive a crisis like the Coronavirus if their only solution is to greet each other with an elbow-shake. An epidemic and a pandemic are the churches problems as well and if their signature church offerings and tithes cannot sustain the church for weeks when people are absent from church the pastors and the church accountants should be fired for poor long term money management. Preaching and prayer doesn't prevent any virus. So, now is the time for churches to come out of the 20th century and into the 21st century and use streaming online technology to show the church services and collect money electronically. This should be the new normal going forward.

To not be able to electronically stream Sunday church services during a time like with an epidemic this is the results of a church being behind times and not having computer savvy people or technology that can sustain a church for at least two weeks streaming online. You shutdown the church for snow storms. Is it too much to set your religious-righteousness aside in believing that the church is divinely protected. In Washington DC three churches are linked to the virus spread in DC. What will it be, faith or foolishness with the virus. As I once stated, church prayer is like egg salad, you don't know what everyone is putting into it to trust it on a virus.
